The combination of hot-dip galvanized steel and thermosetting powder coating provides very high resistance to corrosion.
Hot galvanizing
The process involves dipping molten zinc into steel, forming a thick, durable, well-adhering zinc coating. This coating acts as a physical barrier, protecting the steel from corrosive elements such as moisture, chemicals and atmospheric conditions.
TigerDrylac®
Tiger Drylac® powder coating with an architectural grade, acts as an extra shield, providing resistance to UV rays, abrasion and harsh environmental conditions. The combination of galvanizing and powder coating provides the product with superior durability and excellent corrosion resistance, making it the optimal choice for harsh environments.

Assembly
To ensure the product's resistance to corrosion, it is essential to keep the protective coating intact.
Be sure to mount the product on a soft surface, such as carpet or cardboard, to avoid damage to the protective paint.
Use only the tools provided. Power screws and other types of tools could damage the product.
Always use the adjustable feet provided to lift the planter off the ground. With this separation, the water will flow properly and the base of the pot will be prevented from being damaged by the soil.
Maintenance
If necessary, clean the product with a damp cloth or a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use acidic products.
To ensure the product's resistance to corrosion, it is essential to keep the protective coating intact.
Any accidental damage to the protective coating should be treated promptly with anti-rust primer and a can or paint marker of the same color. The quicker the repair, the less chance the material will degrade.
To install wooden products or parts outdoors, a suitable treatment must be applied. Maintenance frequency and methods should be in line with local weather and environmental conditions, taking into account factors such as sun exposure, rain, humidity, temperature and the presence of xylophagous insects in the area. This may include, but is not limited to, the annual application of weatherproof oils, sealants, stains or paints. Consult your local hardware store for the best products available in your area.
Correct Use
To ensure the best conditions for the planter and plants, follow the recommendations for optimal use:
1. Geotextile felt bag: Before planting in the planter, it is important to protect the protective lining. Use the Herstera Geotextile Felt Bag Accessory to provide an additional layer of protection and avoid potential damage to the liner. Attention, please note that planting directly into the planter without the geotextile felt bag will void the product warranty.
2. Insulation panels: Insulating the walls of the planter with 20 mm thick insulation panels protects the roots from external temperatures.
3. Substrate: We recommend the use of substrates that allow aeration of the roots.
4. Drainage material: To ensure proper drainage, it is essential to fill the bottom with a layer of drainage material such as volcanic gravel or expanded clay spheres. The thickness of this layer will depend on the size of the pot and the type of plant placed in it.
5. Geotextile felt layer: Prevent the substrate from seeping through the drainage material and blocking the outlet holes. It is not recommended to use plants with aggressive roots.
