This Biogents suction trap imitates humans and targets mosquitoes about to bite. Mosquitaire effectively attracts both the Asian tiger mosquito and the yellow fever mosquito thanks to the odor emitted by the Sweetscent attractant: Biogents has in fact developed an attractant that simulates the odor of human skin to attract mosquitoes. Then adding CO2 further expands the range of action of the trap, making it even more effective.

HOW IT WORKS

Eliminate all mosquitoes with Mosquitaire CO2, the system that combines air currents, visual signals, natural attractant and CO2.

BG GAT reflect tech

Easy to assemble and with zero consumption, the BG GAT trap imitates breeding sites and targets female tiger mosquitoes that intend to lay their eggs. By eliminating these mosquitoes, this device helps stop future generations of tiger mosquitoes and limits their proliferation.

HOW IT WORKS

1. mosquitoes that want to lay eggs are attracted to water (species containing organic material such as leaves or grass)
2. the net acts as a barrier between water and mosquitoes to prevent egg laying
3. mosquitoes that try to escape are blocked by the translucent part of the trap
4. the insects remain trapped in the appropriate adhesive sheet

POSITIONING

Correct placement of devices is essential to achieve maximum capture rate. Both traps are designed for outdoor use. For maximum yield the traps must be positioned on the ground near mosquito resting places , such as in shaded, wind-protected and very humid places, such as sparse shrubs. However, they must not be too hidden but still visible, so that they are noticed by mosquitoes, taking care not to expose them to direct sunlight.

To achieve the highest possible catch rate it is recommended to try different positions.

Furthermore, for effective and sustainable mosquito control, it is necessary to avoid the presence of other breeding sites in conjunction with the BG-GAT trap. It is therefore advisable to remove or empty possible places that retain small quantities of water favoring the deposition of eggs (e.g. planters, vases, buckets, water containers, gutters, old cups and bottles and plants).
