Sources of CO2

For using BG Mosquitaire CO2 we recommend a standard 10 liter cylinder, which is sufficient for a period of three to seven weeks, depending on the set release rate.

Recommendation in case of normal or severe mosquito infestation:
Set the CO2 output to 0.5 kg per day (red mark on the pressure reducer display). This flow rate corresponds approximately to the amount of CO2 exhaled by a small child.

POSITIONING

Correct placement of the device is essential to achieve maximum capture rate. The BG-MOSQUITAIRE CO2 mosquito trap is designed for outdoor use in the courtyard and garden. For maximum yield the trap must be positioned on the ground near mosquito resting places , such as in shaded, wind-protected and very humid places, such as sparse shrubs. However, they must not be too hidden but still visible, so that they are noticed by mosquitoes.

Do not place the machine on the terrace and do not expose it to direct sunlight. To achieve the highest possible catch rate it is recommended to try different positions.

HOW DOES IT ATTRACT MOSQUITOES?

The trap imitates the signals given off by the human body, which attract and deceive mosquitoes.
